Wow! I'm a losey blogger! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ours was great! My mom of course spoiled us with tons of yummy food. She tried out a few new receipes, which were really good. Although my husband was not to excited to hear there were new receipes, his response to my mom when she said "I need to try new receipes" was "No, you don't. Quit it." ButI am happy to report he enjoyed all of them. I had it easy, pumkin roll up cake and Thanksgiving cobbler. My sister made the mistake a few years ago of making really good rolls, so now she has to make them every year, lol. Here's a couple of pics of the day.
The babies had so much fun smashing their faces on the glass french doors. What made it so funny was Max started doing it unknowingly and we started laughing so Izzy came over and just looked through the glass expecting a huge laugh. Before we knew it all four were playing with the door. Babies sure make things fun. Well, back to work. Have a super night.

I almost forgot, you have to watch Sonoran Living on Nov. 27 9am that's when Mystic Paper will be on. So if you can handle watching me blab for 2 min. tune in to channel 15(I don't think I can bear to watch). And just a little side note when we were shotting the demo Terri O. said I made the believe sign myself but really Jennifer Wyatt and I made it together. It's been making me sick that I didn't correct her and give Jennifer her deserved credit. But honestly I had no idea what I said and it didn't sink in that Terri had said I made it until it was over. So if you go to the store anytime soon you'll see the believe garland that Jennifer Wyatt and I made for the show, so if you like it you can tell her good job. I really did have a fun time making it with her. :)

Well, the last two weeks have been crazy crazy and more crazy. Last night I taught a second Thankful journal class. I hope the ladies enjoyed it.. we didn't get it all done but it is definitely something you can finish at home. You know me, can't make it quick and easy. Heck, when I do no one signs up. So I guess I'm not the only one who thrives on a little stress. Here's a couple of pics from the class last night. I was so excited because my sister-in-law Vao and even Kim took the class, poor Kim now has one more thing on her to do list.

As I said I've been super busy and a bit forgettful so to motivate myself I blinged up the cover of this great planner my cousin Cathy gave me. I haven't gone anywhere without it for four days because I'm so afraid I'm going to forget something else. Here's a picture of it. (I haven't quite figured out how to place the photos where I want them so hope it makes since. )

Well, I hope everyone is well and remembering everything they need to remember.

Oh and I don't want to forget to brag about my sweet little Max who turned One today and took 6 steps on his own , finally. He is the SWEETEST baby ever, everytime he smiles or laughs I just melt. Gabe was the same way. Of course all my kids bring me heaps of joy but there is just something in Gabe and Max that just seems to calm me. It fascinates me how each child brings their own special something to the family. Pierce is my caregiver, always worrying about me and everything. Sierra is my party girl and Mommy #2 (at least in her mind), she helps me remember to have fun and laugh. Gabe is my Angel Gabriel, even though lately he is the root of most of my frustration, he still can make everything ok for me with just one smile. Izzy is a sweety and cracking me up, Daddy needed his other little girl real bad. And then there's Max with that smile, I don't remember the other kids looking at me the way he does, he just melts me. I just can't believe how blessed I am sometimes....What a joy children are.

Two Minutes of Fame!

Well, today was the big day at Mystic Paper, Terri O. from Sonoran Living (channel15) came today to shot for an upcoming episode. I'm so excited for Kim and Jennifer. They shot tons in the store, in fact they were at Mystic longer than the other two shops, great advertisement. So as I had said before I might do the demo on camera, and I DID!! Hopefully I wasn't too big a retard. I don't know if I'll even be able to handle watching it later. We shot it so fast I'm not even sure what I said. And ok Terri O. is sooo tiny I look like a big pink blob next to her, seriously you could probably fit four of her into my jeans. Ah so sad for me. Maybe someday my thyroid will work right and I can finally lose all this tubby stuff. Is it tacky to wear a shirt that says "I'm not pig, I just have a stupid thyroid". Got to laugh about it. Check the Mystic Paper blog for pics, I was a loser scrapbooker and forgot my camera, sinful. I know Kim got some cute pics with Terri O. I'll check in soon with the air day for the show. Have a super super show.

Ok, last one for tonight I gotta get some sleep. Thanks for looking.

Here's a few of my favorite layouts.

Box of Blooms

This was one of my classes. I wanted to do a calendar, journal, scrapbook, organizer, basically a multi-taskers dream project. I went with the Asian theme because we lived in Japan for 3 1/2 years, we really enjoyed it. In this class I taught a special gold leafing technique I created.

Here's another Maya Road mini Book. Oh, How I love chipboard books!

Ok, here is one of my favorite mini books. I love this book because I used Tapa on the cover and for the die cut embellishments. What's tapa you ask?? It's a bark they use in Samoa to make rugs. My sister in law, Vao (I love Vao), is from Samoa and they used these mats at their wedding. So it means a lot to me that they gave me some. They totally laughed at me when they showed it to me because I screamed with delight. I had been trying to come up with a project to teach with natural elements and the designs already on the tapa totally went with the Basic Grey Hang 10 paper I wanted to use. I taught this book a couple of months ago, it was a great technique class. I showed how to make a shaker box, use alcohol inks on glass slides and 4 different techniques for using masks.

Well, I'm here again I've been trying to set up an online resume, but it doesn't seem to want to do it in a timely manner so I'm going to post a bunch of my stuff here for the Maya Road Design team search. I am so excited Jennifer Wyatt told me about it, I love Maya Road stuff (especially their tins:)) It's a total miracle I even got the project done. I just found out about the design team search a week ago and of course I had stuff everyday, but who needs sleep right. But one of the reasons why things are so crazy is because Mystic Paper is going to be on Sonoran Living with Terri O. They are filming Thurs. and Kim says she might have me do the demo if Jennifer Wyatt doesn't want to, AAAHHH. I'm really excited for Kim and Jennifer this will be the third time in 3 weeks Mystic Paper will be on TV. I'm not sure yet when it airs but I promise I'll be telling everyone. Well, enough jibber jabber I've got a ton of photos to post. Have a great week.

Well, Saturday I finished up my second A-Z class at Mystic Paper (I love teaching here). It was a really small class, which always makes it fun and easy plus you get to know the ladies better which I always love. Since the class was so little I decided instead of doing my usually prize drawing I would make everyone a gift bag and little box to hold all their stuff. I've always wanted to do that in a class, just never had the time, plus too many students. So I hope the ladies enjoyed them I sure had fun making them. I just love it when things come in cute packaging, it's like the company is saying we like you.
